The object of the society is to promote for the benefit and education of the public the study of genealogy and family and local history in the County of Powys. In furtherance of this object but not otherwise the Society has the following powers:-

 

a)         To provide a forum for all interested persons.

b)        To arrange an educational programme of talks, visits and other allied activities.

c)        To produce, publish and circulate a periodic journal.

d)        To seek out, transcribe, index and where possible, publish and otherwise make available any relevant material.

e)        To collect and raise funds by subscription, donations, grants and any other lawful means.
